Isn’t it lovely. This rare beauty comes from one place in the world: the Dominican Republic. Natives found it washed up on the beach long ago. But, one man discovered the underground source and name the stone after his daughter Larissa. “Lar” for her and “Mar” for sea. Larimar has the distinct color of the Carribbean. You will see white striations in tge stone mimicking coral formations if you were viewing the ocean from above. One should look for these markings to be sure the stone is genuine.
